Cisco Indonesia held the Cisco Education Day: Connected Learning for a better Indonesia on Tuesday 18th of July 2017. Hosted live, and broadcasted across five locations – Cisco Jakarta office, Library, Institute Technology Surabaya, Gadjah Mada University Club Hotel & Convention, Bandung Institute of Technology and Cisco Singapore office - 239 participants connected through Cisco Telepresence to hear about Education trends in Indonesia and Cisco’s Commitment to the Education sector. A keynote delivered by Prof Paulina (Ministry of Education’s expert on e-learning) addressed “Trends in the Education Sector in Indonesia: Digital Learning” and highlighted how education has transformed Indonesia Cyber University with its potential and challenges.
Our Cisco Networking Academy instructor in the 90s, Johan Kusuma, who is now VP of Bina Nusantara University shared the usage of Cisco Technologies to support the operations and administration of the university and how it has helped them to better manage their students.
The day closed with a panel discussion with Prof Paulina, Prio Utomo (Cisco BDM), Johan and Gatot Herwanto (head of e-learning lab – University of Indonesia) discussing the maturity level in the digital journey and next steps for action.
75% of the participants came from our Networking Academies in Indonesia. And we continue to receive new applications from potential new academies to join the Cisco Networking Academy family.
