Japan, July13, 2018 - Cisco, the world's leading IT and networking company, today announced the appointment of Dave West as President and General Manager for Cisco Systems G.K. effective July 30th, 2018.

As an 18-year Cisco veteran with over 25 years of experience in the ICT industry, West most recently led Worldwide Sales for the Enterprise Networks team, a global organization that drives the sales, solutions, and engineering motions required to deliver innovation and transformation across Cisco’s core portfolio. Prior to that, West was the Chief Technology Officer and Architectures leader for Enterprise Networks, Data Center, Security, and Collaboration in Asia Pacific and Japan. He was responsible for capturing market transitions, delivering sustained competitive leadership, and driving growth across all technologies.

"West has amassed a wealth of experience and accomplishments with numerous leadership roles within Cisco’s worldwide organization and Asia Pacific and Japan" added Miyuki Suzuki, President, Asia Pacific & Japan at Cisco. " And under his leadership, I am confident that Cisco will continue to accelerate the digital transformation in Japan towards 2020.”

Miyuki Suzuki will continue to lead Cisco’s business in the Asia Pacific and Japan, with additional responsibility to oversee Greater China. West will report to Suzuki.
